Champagne flutes, Mediterranean sounds, paint and palettes sat side by side as generous Picasso-like strokes were applied to canvas board by an all-female audience who participated in our second Paint & Sip event on Women’s Day.  In-between sipping on the bubbly, guests were treated to a breakfast snack courtesy of Ocean Basket.  Miladys and Foschini also each sponsored beautiful shopping bags and cosmetics.  There was a total of 35 budding artists who participated. This was the second Paint & Sip session and we will most definitely host it again soon!

Food Fundi with a sense of adventure and love for first-call taste experience could delight in an array of Middle-Eastern delicacies during the Turkish Food Festival held at Mall of the North (MOTN) overflow parking lot from Friday until Sunday. The highlight of the festival was on Saturday when an estimated 3500 people visited the stalls to purchase mouth-watering dishes, various designs and clothes. Tantuni and Kumpir baked potatoes seemed to be very popular during the festival. Inspired and building artists set Mall of the North on fire with brush strokes applied to boards, wine in hand and French cafe music playing in the background when meeting last Wednesday evening for the first time of a concept that seems to be burgeoning in Polokwane. During Mall of the North’s first paint and sip evening- previously hosted but without wine - a host of participants gathered around easels and artist supplies intently fixed on each creating a masterpiece while interacting with like-minded souls. The race, that will take place for the fourth time, offers mountain bike enthusiasts an enjoyable experience.
