Big holiday fun and a little extra pink this October at Mall of the North
School’s out, spring is in full swing, and if the kids are already asking, “What are we doing today?”, Mall of the North has a few very good answers.
Disney magic comes to Mall of the North
Calling all little Disney fans! From 2–4 October, Disney Jr. and Disney Channel are bringing the fun to the Game Court at Mall of the North for three days of school holiday entertainment.
It’s free to attend, so round up the family and come enjoy a little Disney magic right here at the mall. Add lunch, a movie or a wander around the shops afterwards and you’ve got an easy school holiday outing sorted.
Jump, slide, scramble, repeat
Got some serious holiday energy to burn? Tuff Nutterz is at Mall of the North until Sun, 4 October, bringing South Africa’s biggest inflatable obstacle course to the Overflow Parking Area. Kids (and brave grown-ups) can jump, scramble, slide and race their way through the enormous inflatable course from 9am to 5pm. Entry is R150 per person for full-day access, so you can stay and play for as long as those legs will allow. Socks are compulsory, and spectators can bring along their camping chairs, settle in and enjoy the action.
October wears pink
Amid all the fun, October also gives us an important reason to pause. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual reminder to pay attention to our health and encourage the women in our lives to do the same.
Earlier this year, Mall of the North welcomed the Breast Cancer Screening Unit as part of the Screen Her, Save Her initiative. The message behind it remains an important one: early detection can save lives. So, as pink ribbons appear throughout October, take them as a little nudge. Have the conversation. Make the appointment you’ve been putting off. Check in on a friend.

Make the most of October
Start the month with Disney characters and giant inflatables. Stop for something good to eat, catch a movie and enjoy the spring weather while the kids still have a few precious days away from their schoolbooks. There’s fun to be had and important moments to share this month.
